These use either a purged cabinet for the PC and other electronics. This cabinet maintains positive air pressure to eliminate the possibility of solvent vapours entering. The system includes automatic shutdown in the case of this positive air pressure not being maintained.
This arrangement has a number of advantages over competitive systems that have the PC and solenoid valves in the safe area:
- No need to use a slow, awkward remote terminal in the hazardous area (these usually have small displays and multi-function keyboards that are very slow to type on).
- No need for long air lines between controller and valves (these prevent the system from dispensing small quantities accurately).
- Stainless steel throughout, so the system is easily cleaned.
The system keeps the other attributes of our standard fixed-head dispenser.
This dispenser is also available with a moving head for applications that use a large number of base materials and/or require dispensing into containers with a relatively small opening.
